While providing training on the new features of Journey PX, one of the first nurses that used the scanning feature on a patient’s armband actually let out a small squeal of excitement! They were so happy that they no longer had to use the keyboard. When I pointed out the name also auto populated after the armband was scanned under the account number, other staff members were very happy and thanked us for making patient education easier. On another unit, another nurse actually did a “happy dance” while she was reading the flier over the ability to scan armbands. One of the Unit Supervisors was here and she was very happy with the new features and said “This is big. This is going to make a lot of people happy.”
